L'Avengers Chronology Project rappresenta il tentativo di tracciare ogni apparizione cronologica dei Vendicatori, sugli albi e sulle serie Marvel dalla loro origine sino alle storie attuali. Il Progetto include tutte le apparizioni dei Vendicatori come gruppo e ogni albo a loro collegato o rilevante per la loro continuity. Inoltre, sono inseriti molti albi dove appaiono più membri del gruppo (ad esempio nei team-up) e in alcuni casi apparizioni singole di Vendicatori qualora significative per la cronologia del gruppo o albi non direttamente collegati (ad esempio gli Invasori). In definitiva, la versione finale del Progetto conterrà ogni albo collegato agli Avengers, direttamente o indirettamente significativo per la cronologia del team. L'Avengers Chronology Project non include racconti "What-if" o fuori continuity.
