Welcome to all fans of Marvel Comics and worldwide-fans of the Avengers! My name is Terenzio, although many know me as "Tragix” (a pseudonym). I am the owner and creator of this Site, online since spring 2003, initially under the name "Avengers Forever", then renamed in 2007 in "Avengers Chronology" to better highlight the nature of the project and to avoid diplomatic incidents with an american homonym website rightly claimed intellectual property in the name, as I imagine you'll see that I was chosen in homage to the famous saga of the Avengers, written by Kurt Busiek.

From the outset, the purpose of the Site was to create a comprehensive Avengers’s chronology along the lines of what had been done by the staff of MCP (www.chronologyproject.com), who had the bright idea of proposing a chronological order for all the appearances of the House of Ideas’s characters, which in turn were helped by the heroic work done by the father of all the 'chrono-men "of the Earth, George Olshevsky, author of historical ‘80s “Official Marvel Index”, which for the first time ever attempted to establish an organic and rigorous logical sequence of the stories of Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Avengers and X-Men published at the time, and thus finally give a scientific value to the continuity of the Marvel Universe that two and a half decades of tales behind resented the lack of a work that ultimately could bring order to the appearances of the characters. In the same year in which the first Marvel Index was published, happened the debut of the series of 25 episodes called "The Marvel Saga: The Official History of the Marvel Universe", the ideal complement to the work of Olshevsky, which still remains the primordial reference for all those (including me) who compete in projects concerning the chronological history of the House of Ideas’s Universe.

The heart of the Site is represented by the “AVENGERS CHRONOLOGY PROJECT”, which is indeed the goal of my work and that eventually will contain a list of all canonical stories related to the continuity of the Avengers (and individual team members) arranged chronologically, from the origins of the Marvel Universe to “Secret Invasion” crossover. Currently, the project is a “work in progress" periodically updated, only partly completed and new additions are planned each update, therefore be interpreted in its temporary incompleteness, in which it is already possible to separate segments of continuity intact, divided by chronology holes (gaps) more or less important. Before starting the consultation of the project I suggest the watch of the section of the website that summarizing concisely both the portions of chronology that are available and the existing gaps (with reference to the various "Ages" that generally characterize the Marvel Universe), and the section of the website containing the key for the Avengers Chronology Project that it is essential to correctly interpret the information in chronology and to read more easily the sequence of stories already included. However, the completed portions of chronology are still available separately, as extrapolated from the main project and summarized apart, in "THE CHRONOLOGY PAGE" section of the Site and the continuation of this same page, including the Ultimates’s chronology set in the Ultimate Universe.

To accommodate even books and stories out-of-continuity (not canonical) was created the section of the Site named "THE AVENGERS SCRAP-BOOK" which is a kind of album organized into categories for the stories set in alternate realities or not canonical, special issues and reprints (to name a few), and also all the stories already included in chronology but where there is not the appearance of the Avengers as a team, which instead are collected in section of the Site named "AVENGERS APPEARANCES YEAR-BY-YEAR" where exactly are all the canonical appearances of the Avengers as a team (and already present in the Avengers Chronology Project), divided by year of publication of stories.
