In many cases, such references have been important considerations in chronology placement, as clues (character and plot references) and temporal references; narrators' notes about the amount of time that has passed since previous adventures, are all taken in account (with few exceptions). The Project includes all the scenes and stories that pertain to current and former Avengers, in other words, includes all appearances by any Avenger from the time he/she first joins the Group; actually, the chronology starts tracking the Avenger from the time he/she appears in the storyline that leads to his/her joining the Group (as an Active member, Reserve member, honorary member, etc.).
Frequently, the entry not reported the entire issue/story but only to a portion of it, some pages; in this case, always is indicated the exact pages-range of the issue which entry refers for the chronological positioning. Each entry have a "What's on Chronology?" description drawed in cyan that indicates the title of the story and eventually (in bold and in square bracket) the exact sequence/framing-pages fit in the chronology; besides here are listed (in italic and in parentheses) individual Avengers appearances or Avengers-related characters appearances in the issue (or page-sequence) fit in the chronology, with the exceptions of the issue's protagonists because their appearance is implied.
Many entries have a continuity tips or clues (a short description of the entry contents) named "Entry topic".
Chronology range of this page: from before "The Avengers #1 (Vol.1)" [1963]
